SBR is a synthetic rubber made by copolymerizing styrene and butadiene. SBR is extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. With many of the same properties as natural rubber, SBR is much cheaper to produce and is commonly prevalent in 52% of global tire production. Other uses include shoe heels and soles, gaskets and even chewing gum.
