An amorphous, transparent, and pale amber high performance thermoplastic and is the most temperature resistant transparent commercially available thermoplastic resin. It has relatively high water absorption. It is resistant to acids, alkalis, oils, greases, and aliphatic hydrocarbons and alcohols. it is attacked by ketones, ester, and some halogenated and aromatic hydrocarbons. The high-temperature oil and gas resistance allow Polyethersulfone to be used for automotive applications.
PolyEtherSulfone (PES)
