PA4.6, belonging to the Nylon family, it is a heat resistant polymer. It is synthesized by polymerizing 1,4 diaminobutane with adipic acid. Although it is similar to Polyamide 6 or Polyamide 6,6 from a chemical point of view, it is characterized by better dimensional stability. This leads to a higher melting point as well as a higher degree of crystallinity, enabling Polyamide 4,6 for high performance application in the automobile fields.
